How we avoid spiritualizing away the law, while at the same time seeking and valuing and prioritizing the spiritual first / highest (hence to love/worship the Creator first), is about the right overfocus vs less focus. What we focus on most becomes our idol. But if we remove the physical, created completely, then we are disobedient to the second main commandment to love creation (our neighbor). Matt 22:37-39.
Priority:
1. Love for the Creator (God) and His spiritual kingdom and law.
2. Love for Creation (neighbor) and the physical kingdom.
Examples.
We are to care for our physical, temporal body and focus some on eating healthy and follow the health reform suited our individual situation/health. But we are not to make it a main priority or obsess about it.Or believe that we are dependent on a strong physical health in order to be saved. We see the latter in spiritualism / Nazism, among other things, with its strong focus on physical energies / vibrations in order to ascend and be saved according to their idea of salvation (Nirvana).
Same goes for humanitarian aid (meaning to only care for the physical well being of people and focus mainly on helping them in this life) while ignoring evangelism, to help them with regard to their everlasting destiny.
In both these examples we see that we are to do both of these that represent the temporal, physical kingdom of this world. Both care for our health and the health and well-being of our neighbor. But in both instances if we prioritize and value higher that of temporal value more than that of everlasting value, then we have made Creation our god, rather than the Creator who represent the spiritual kingdom.
In Christ we see the perfect balance between the Creator and creation, in the Son of God and the Son of man. He is wholly God and man simultaneously. He connect mankind (creation) to God. But He always value(d) the things of the deeper things of the Creator, God, first, and sought to bring and save people to His Father in heaven. In order for Christ to arrive the second time, literally, physically and visible, his character, his spiritual heart and mind, must be fully assimilated in its fullness in his church. Which means we must receive the mature, fuller truth, so it become part of our faith and receive it into our spiritual hearts and minds.
