Look up and read Revelation 19
Interpretation:
The Babylonian or beastly character of each individual must be conquered by Christ, torn down, burnt up, in order for the character to be purified and made righteous in Christ, for Him to be able to build up the character with His character traits and doctrines.
The old, immature belonging to the old law and covenant must be crushed to pieces, as it can not be saved in that state. An unsanctified human character which all humans have or have had for a time, belongs to the old law and covenant, it belongs to this old, fallen earth/world.
It is only the sanctified character, who has been born again, crossed over from the old to the new, who go from being in the category "Babylon, the prostitute" or "the beast" to being in the category "the bride", this is the sanctified church.
It is only the sanctified character = the bride = the new man/ woman, who can inherit the New Earth.
Those who do not overcome, by the blood of the lamb, before the close of probation, will have to be tormented and destroyed by the fire, on the day of judgment, rather than being saved by it in time.
From v 9:
We have those who have been invited to the marriage supper. These have the spirit of Prophecy, which is the testimony of Jesus.
Then we have the rider of the white horse,which is also the word of God who wages wars with justice. This is a holy, spiritual battle. Out of His mouth comes a sharp sword in which to judge the nations . His name is king of kings and lord of lords. So this is speaking of Jesus Christ.
"19 Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage war against the rider on the horse and his army. 20 But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. 21 The rest were killed with the sword coming out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh."
So at this stage, the probation has closed, those who have not advanced to the new law and covenant, stuck in Babylon under the order of the beast, having received the mark of the beast, wage war against Jesus Christ and His Holy mountain: the new law and covenant. They also wage war against His army. Many, still believing they serve God.
But they are defeated and destroyed, by the holy fire or by the righteous sword. I believe the most resistant, those who have deceived many, are the ones who are thrown into the fire, the toughest weapon of destruction, and the rest are killed by the sword.
