There is a WISDOM that is of lesser importance (Say time prophecies, history.)
and a wisdom of great importance. This wisdom is connected to the heart, not just the mind. It can not be truly received unless there is a heart and mind connection. You have to surrender your sinful character traits to Christ , and then you will awaken to the fuller truth of Christ. So, you can not cheat in the higher school of Christ.
The more shallower, lesser truths and details is far less important than the higher, deeper wisdom. This I believe is what Ellen White describe as :
"THE BIBLE TESTIMONY".
This involve understanding and receiving wisdom with a fuller measure of the spirit of God. This can only be achieved by advancing and enduring the path of the cross, of Christ.
THE LATTER RAIN
I believe is the fuller measure of the spirit of God and the higher, deeper doctrine received for the last church on earth before the second arrival if Jesus Christ. The fullness of the truth for the remnant church.
Proverbs 4:5
"Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth."
Hosea 4:6
"..my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. “Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children."
To the last church, the Laodiceans:
Revelation 3:17-18
"You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see."
