God's law is built upon His character. His character is also spirit (ual), the inner (spiritual heart and mind), the deeper, the unseen, everlasting.
(Ephesians 4:3)
The seal of God is to receive the law and spirit of God, engraved on our inner man: our spiritual heart and mind which is also our characters. (Hebrews 8:10)
